About

Hello,

Rachel, wedding photographer at Outline Photography UK

I'm a documentary wedding photographer based in Essex. My approach stays simple: stay quiet, stay honest and let your day unfold exactly as it happens. No forced poses, no interrupted moments, just the real thing, beautifully captured.

How Outline began

One wedding, a borrowed lens and a promise.

It started with a single wedding, a borrowed lens and a promise to capture things exactly as they were: real, natural and unstaged.

That first wedding shaped my approach: staying quietly in the background, letting the day unfold naturally and capturing the small, unrepeatable moments. Since then I've photographed over a hundred weddings across Essex and the South East, from grand country-house celebrations to intimate gatherings, always creating galleries that feel just like the day itself.

The details

What matters
most

The photographs that mean the most aren't always the ones you planned.

The people

The hugs, happy tears, familiar faces and people who make your celebration yours.

The moments

The first look. The walk down the aisle. The speeches. The dancing. And everything happening in between.

The feeling

More than anything, I want your photographs to bring you back to exactly how your wedding day felt.

My approach

Your wedding your story.

Three simple principles behind every wedding I photograph.

01

Softly
editorial

Timeless, film-inspired edits that favour warmth and honesty over trend.

02

Quiet &
unobtrusive

You'll barely notice I'm there, which is exactly the point.

03

Real,
not posed

I follow your day as it happens, capturing genuine connection rather than directing it.

Before your day, we'll talk through what matters most to you: the people you love, the moments you're looking forward to and the details you've thoughtfully chosen. I'll use all of that to photograph your celebration in a way that feels personal, honest and completely your own. Your photographs should feel like your wedding, not someone else's.
